How Does Herbalife Work?

Clinical Studies

Herbalife products are thought to help with weight loss, and are clinically proven to be effective for individuals who supplement meals with the Formula 1 shakes. Studies have proven that results for weight loss among participants were significant and more effective than traditional dieting methods, such as cutting calories. See Resources for more information.

Ingredients

Herbalife combines a host of natural ingredients to create their formula for weight loss. Whey protein (commonly used by bodybuilders and athletes to speed muscle development) and potassium chloride (used in sports drinks to replace electrolytes lost through exercise) may promote muscle while providing nourishment and replenishing the body. Added fiber such as is found in beans, fruits, vegetables and whole grains may give dieters an edge by allowing them to feel full for long periods. Antioxidants and omega- 3 fatty acids may aid in improved immune system functioning, while other key nutrients such as vitamin C and flavanoids make Herbalife well balanced and sufficient for meal replacement. For a complete list of ingredients, see Resources.

Energy

Ginkgo biloba extract (used to improve blood flow and enhance alertness) and caffeine are two ingredients included in the Herbalife formula that may give dieters a boost. The improved energy may assist dieters with achieving exercise goals and help them become more active, thus accelerating weight loss.

Convenience

Many Americans are searching for a quick bite in their fast-paced lifestyles. They grab drive-thru burgers and fatty fried foods on the go because healthy homemade meals aren't as accessible. Studies have proven that the convenience of diet shakes when used as meal replacements are a handy alternative to an unhealthy meal. See Resources for more information.
