These herbal supplements may help you to boost your metabolism and assist in the proper function of organs like your liver and digestive system.
Dandelions
Dandelion is an Asian flower that you can find in just about any yard in the United States. Dandelions are a bright yellow flower that grows on a green, fuzzy stem. Dandelion leaves and flowers are traditional herbs used to help people lose belly weight. The Dandelion contains loads of vitamins including, vitamins A, B, C, D and also plenty of calcium. It's a natural product that works as both a laxative and diuretic. Much of our belly fat comes from white sugar and flour. Dandelion is believed to reduce the craving for sweets which could lessen your fat intake.
Drink a cup of Dandelion tea by adding several flowers and leaves to a cup of water. Bring the water to a boil and then lower the temperature and allow it to simmer for about ten minutes. Strain the leaves and flowers from the tea. Add a teaspoon of honey to sweeten the brew. Drink a cup of tea every day to enjoy fat fighting benefits.
Green Tea
The perfect herb for losing unwanted belly fat is green tea. Drinking green tea helps the body burn calories and boosts the metabolism. According to a study published in the Journal of Nutrition, "Green Tea Catchein consumption enhances exercise induced abdominal fat loss." In this study, 132 obese patients were administered a daily drink combination of green tea with some additional caffeine or just a caffeine drink. Those that received just the caffeine drink saw a loss of two pounds. The group that drank the green tea lost over four pounds each.
Drinking two to three cups of green tea a day coupled with an exercise program may give you similar results. Don't buy green tea drinks from the grocery store. There's no guarantee that you are drinking green tea, it may just contain a small percentage of green tea. Buy green tea from the health food store and brew several cups a day. You might have one in the morning, one at lunch and one more later in the afternoon. Don't drink green tea too late in the day though. You may experience insomnia as a result. Brew the tea in the bag with a cup of water. Bring the water to a boil then turn off the heat. Allow the green-tea bag to steep in the water a couple of minutes before drinking it. If you need a little sweetener use all natural honey rather than sugar.
