Tighten your abdominal muscles. Just tightening your abdominal muscles for about 10 seconds is the equivalent of a sit up. That's great to know, because you can do this all day long! While you're walking the dog, giving a lecture at work, driving in your car, cooking dinner - all you have to do is tighten, hold and release your stomach muscles. This is a great thing to do which will supplement the exercises you are doing - and it's a great way to burn stomach fat! It's not that hard either - simply pull your stomach in with the muscles, making it pull toward your spine.
2Try hard-core crunches. Crunches are a great way to burn stomach fat. You will really know that these exercises are working because you will feel the burn. Start with as many crunches as you can do - preferably around 25 at a time. Tighten your stomach muscles as you do them for a more effective crunch. Also, to burn fat from the sides of your stomach (and not just the middle), turn your legs to one side and do crunches. You'll feel it burning in the side it's working - then, simply switch sides and do the same amount of crunches.
3Do side to side aerobics. Aerobics are a great way to burn fat, especially stomach fat. Think of the 'wind mill' you used to do in school. This is where you stretch your arms out to each side, and reach with one hand to the opposite side foot. Exercises like this one are great for burning stomach fat - and remember to tighten your stomach muscles as you do them to create a more effective workout.
