By doing this you will burn the carbohydrates in the body because there aren't additional carbs coming in, and you will lose the water weight attached to the carbohydrates.
James Anderson, M.D., came up with a quick way to lose weight through the limitation of calories. He calls it the VLCD, standing for the very low calorie diet. He promotes drinking five weight loss shakes a day, or three shakes a day combined with two low-calorie meals. In a study of 112 people, the average weight loss was 65 pounds in five months, with an average loss of 13 pounds per month.

Runner's World offers exercising tips to help get the weight off quickly. Tips for people who are already active include increasing mileage and intensity while running. Colon cleansing pills are becoming a more popular way to lose weight fast. Some brands claim users can lose up to 20 pounds without exercising or dieting through the removal of waste and toxins. Other weight loss pill companies advertise that their products curb hunger and boost metabolism, resulting in rapid weight loss. Before taking any supplements, consult your doctor.
